Who we are

Smart Recorders is a live meeting transcription and minutes product. The site is operated by an independent developer. Paid subscriptions are processed by Creem as Merchant of Record.

What we collect

Account: email address and a hashed password for registration, login, and a session cookie.

Subscription: Creem customer and subscription status (to know which plan is active). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Transcription usage: seconds transcribed per account per calendar month (Beijing time), used to enforce the 120-minute free allowance.

API keys you paste in Settings: after login they may be stored encrypted with your account so you can use another device. Keys are not shown to other users.

Meeting content: recordings (audio) stay in your browser and are not uploaded to Smart Recorders servers. After you log in, transcripts, written minutes, and the summary image sync to your account so you can open them on another device; other users cannot see your meetings. While signed out, meetings stay on this device only.

Technical logs: we may keep timestamps, error messages, and coarse request metadata to debug outages. We do not use meeting transcripts for advertising.

How we use information

To provide live dictation, speaker labels, minutes, and the summary image.

To keep you signed in, sync settings and logged-in transcripts/minutes (not recordings), and process $9.9/month, $27.99/quarter, or $99.99/year subscriptions.

We do not sell your recordings, transcripts, or email list.

Third parties

Creem processes payments, invoices, refunds, and tax, and may store billing details under its own policies.

Alibaba DashScope / Bailian (live dictation) and DeepSeek (platform minutes), plus any other model providers you configure, process audio or text only as needed for dictation and minutes.

Cloudflare hosts this website and related APIs.

Retention and your choices

You can delete locally saved meetings in the product. After login, delete removes both the on-device cache and the copy on your account.

To delete your account or encrypted keys stored on the server, email support@smart-recorders.com. We will handle the request within a reasonable time.

Cookies: a session cookie keeps you logged in. UI language and similar preferences live in browser local storage.
